DVSA News
The DVSA are currently running with the the new issue of #MeToo where the problem of sexual harassment arose within the film industry and are now concerned of  similar issues within the driver trainer industry.  This, to our mind is long overdue, gets our full support. Sexual harassment belongs with the dinosaurs of yesterday.
This is beginning to become more and more of a news item coming up on the BBC on more than one occasion, which is a bit rich with their track record on the issue.
The DVSA have their latest Blog on the matter by a guest writer and it can be found here
If you are member then you can access our page on Safeguarding written by our chairperson Rob Harper for guidance or our AADI  Code of Conduct.
The pages are password protected and accessible to members only.

The EU parliament has voted through a new raft of measures  for minimum vehicle standards to protect all road users, particularly the vulnerable. You will probably have seen a few of the comments in social media on this, well here is the true article.

MoT results by class of vehicle to September 26th 2019. Very interesting reading when you consider that the vehicles with the greater number of passengers do not show up in a very good light.

This is a fantastic website that I think all ADIs & PDIs should subscribe to, it is free and you get the info straight to your email inbox regularly and it would save me writing in here :)  But the idea is to stimulate debate and get up to date with everything.
I love the new 'Don't listen to angry Al' videos for young bikers though it is mainly aimed at London's young bikers it does apply across the country.
Brake are looking for more decisive action on Drink Driving and with 'More than 5,000 people have been caught drink-driving on at least two occasions in the past four years, new figures show' you can hardly argue with them, the figures have gone down enormously since I was in my early 20's and see the number who 'had a couple' and thought they were ok.Some people just never learn do they. Only this week the local police here posted on social media about a young mum caught for the second time in 2 years on the way to school and failed the roadside breathalyser!!!
